A Poem That Will Reveal You The Key To Happiness

I feel joyfully mad today
And here’s why:
I have found the key to happiness
It’s called indifference
It happens from time to time to people capable of too much feeling
Indifference to everything that passes
And the only moment that matters is now
It is the maddest way to live
Or maybe the wisest
And the most joyful one.
This joy is growing inside me
As if I am going fast up an escalator
Releasing passions and hedonism.
It’s something that those people feel when they make love in times of war
And I have been to war with myself
for too long now
It’s something those people feel when dancing in times of war
Because nothing else matters
And controlling the uncontrollable is what tears us apart.
Dance until you exhaust yourself with indifference
Because everything passes
Like some shadows outside a ballroom
Shadows of yourself
Of whom you used to be and whom you will be
Shadows of something that you will never grasp
Like some fluid bodies passing through your arms
Shadows of the air you breathed some other times
When you filled your lungs with joy
And breathed out all the indifference in the world.
