Joanne Nam

Joanne Nam

Korean artist Joanne Nam paints softly colored girls pictured in a blend of realism and surrealism. She prefers to use artificial lighting because of its constancy. Natural lighting is awesome for its capacity to show all the mistakes one may have done. A practical artist, she sketches carefully like planning a trip. It actually helps her to paint twice faster than painting without a sketch. She spent her childhood near Korea’s lush forests, currently she lives in Los Angeles, USA.
