Do the Stars Get Lonely?
The nightsky is just a graveyard of stars
that burned out a million lightyears away;
remnants of the archaic past sailing across the
universe
they keep the moon some company;
to keep her crescent gleam
in the darkness
to be by her side
because these stars, they knew how it felt
to be alone
to be lightyears distant from
each other;
to burst asunder into dusts,
witnessed by nothing but a colossal void
these stars, pretty rhinestones adrift and
unfurled in a constellation
yet little did we know
how lonely they were
