Your Unexpected Saturday Night

Since the June 29th an array of eclectic and diverse artists have joined forces at six different venues across Berlin to present their work under the auspices of the AADK [UNEXPECTED] Summer 2012 art festival. And now, festival organizers have saved the best for tonight – the closing night at Nuu Berlin! The event will start with the screening of a movie, followed by art performances. After that, you can expect great concerts, multi-media art installations and – finally – a closing party. Come check out the truly unexpected!

The Future of Art?

Throughout the evening, they will present very interesting and revolutionary works. The movie that opens the event is a documentary called ”Visionary Sounds.” which shows interviews with artists revealing their opinions about the evolution and the future of art. Then, a dance performance by Abraham Hurtado promises to bring insight in how you can read a story analyzing the movements of the body. The next performance is a work inspired by digital animation and how this can be adapted by the performance language.

After all that, the concerts will start – but do not just expect any ordinary band or group. The first music performance is the project Mosaique, which tries to analyze how movements can be sensed inside a sound mass. Next up is the band Growing Tree and the electro-indierock group Remote Republic will also perform. Before the end, there is still a multimedia performance (Schockglatze) and a audio-visual art screening (by Nelja Stump). Finally, in collaboration with Back Door, guest DJs will keep the night going on until the morning! Don’t miss this night packed will art, fun and of course, one hell of a party!
