Why Self Acceptance Will Set You Free

Happiness, the ultimate life hack
Often associated with wealth, leisure, indulgence
Endless debates starring money vs love
Sometimes it’s the validation in the ever thriving virtual space or a great sexting session
The arms of a lover or the rush after consuming molly
Taking the road less travelled or the first nicotine hit of the day
New day, new standards
We don’t complain
Change rarely ceases to amaze
But to stumble upon the exception to this rule is a wonder
A constant that alters your vision forever
Mine did!
It is nothing but acceptance of self, purely and completely
To be aware of every strand and knot that exists within you
What resonates with your composure and all of that disrupts your energy
Learning the art of saying ‘no’
Acknowledging the spontaneity of emotions
The nakedness of your soul I promise is the most compelling
Looking beyond the mirage of your mirror reflection
Fierce, unbreakable, indestructible
True liberation has got very little to do with the worldly riches
Yes, the thirst for a new conquest never dies but making peace during a storm lurks within
And it is in each one of us
Moulds and patterns have been created and shoved
No questions asked again
To facilitate the decomposure of our unique element is taken for granted
The world ‘we’ created
I see the emptiness behind those eyes looking for answers
This war is real and I urge you not to give in
For accepting reality of your being makes you indispensable
The comfort of being wrapped in your own skin alone
Spreading unadulterated vibes in a room full of strangers
Screaming your lungs out simply because you want to
Embracing every hiccup and refusal to play the victim
Oh! I never said it was simple to do away with that mask and dance like nobody’s watching
But to sway amidst the fixated gaze will set you apart
You will never look back
You will be free!
