The perspective is always calm and serene – never depicting violence – rather, it is impending or just completed. His illustrations combine tight line work with moments of ukiyo-e, eroticism, ghostly images, and surrealism reminiscent of Hans Bellmer. Dark, with emotionless, stoic faces, the characters beautiful colors seem helpless, almost soft and doll-like in their positions.
