Born in Massachusetts in 1962, Richard Phillips lives and works in New York. He is known for his distinctive realist paintings if iconic people. Drawn from found imagery, his work deals with media, society, man and his wishes, ideas, actions, identity, sexuality, politics, desires. He translates these images into both drawings and paintings executed through a traditional process.
