Get Your Spray Cans Ready!

The Berlin-Artparasites grafitti week is coming to an end. From a controversial Berlin graffiti documentary (which has now been deemed illegal to screen in Germany) to artist interviews and some pictures of artists adding color to an abandoned hospital. But fret not – for your grafitti pleasure, we have tracked down the absolute must-see grafitti art event for this weekend (or actually, this year)! This Saturday, longstanding Berlin grafitti artists along with world famous graffiti artists will be taking over Strandgut for the fourth Summerjam grafitti meet-up and get-down event. Presented by Yard 5, expect an afternoon full of live grafitti writing, workshops and fun in the sand.

One guest grafitti artist who will be present is Wane from NYC, who we recently interviewed. Now is the chance to meet this grafitti legend who not only tags around the world, but is also called in to guest lecture at universities – now that’s what we call a real art history lesson. Why not get a graffiti lesson from one of the best?

The festivities begin at 12pm at Strandgut, right behind the historic East Side Gallery. In fact, add this event as a stop on our top grafitti spots in Berlin tour (to be released tomorrow)! The weekend forecast has never looked better.
