Doubling It Up

No puddles of water or rain in sight – a clear blue sky and eastward wind blowing the scent of freshly grilled baguette and brie into the night. Last Saturday, berlin-artparasites met with art enthusiasts in Berlin for our second summer BBQ at HBC. Friends, readers, and soon-to-be friends joined us on the terrace of HBC alongside the Kunst(shot) exhibition “Empty Space” which was taking place inside the venue with great artwork and experimental music performances. Everyone present was treated with a free baguette (the best baguette available in Berlin, from Lafayette!) filled with creamy brie and ham. Here is our photo journal that documents the lively evening – we hope to meet you again at our next event!

BAPS BBQ

Panorama of the berlin-artparasites Summer BBQ early on in the evening. The ”Empty Space” exhibiton attracted a young crowd of art enthusiasts to HBC. The scenary with the Rotes Rathaus and Fernsehturm (TV Tower) in the background made for a “very Berlin” feel.

Marius joined us again to take on the grilling – he was the proclaimed “grill master” (or Grill-meister) from our first BBQ at Görlitzer Park in June 2012.

Claudia, Hana and Konstantin were one of the first guests to try our baguettes! Tastes good?

We were lucky to be graced by the presence of painter Omar Jaramillo, who created a beautiful watercolor painting that captures the BBQ event.

Paul Langlet, from Paris, approved of our French baguette! Five stars. Philip and Björn are in the background making a baguette transaction!
