A Poem About The Day You Told Me You Didn’t Love Me

Embroidery by Erin Riley

I remember the day you said you didn’t love me
It was 4 days before Christmas
At first I thought I was finally free
But the game just started

The day you said me you didn’t loved me
I flirted with many guys
Just to see if you meant it
I could see the jealousy in your face
And I enjoyed it

The day you said you didn’t love me
You walked me to my house
I asked you if you wanted to stay
And you did

The day you said you didn’t love me
We talked for hours
I told you my deepest and darkest secrets
And you told me yours

The day you said you didn’t love me
We played like children
We laughed like crazy
I fell madly in love with you
And you kissed me

The day you said you didn’t love me
You were just playing with me
You gave me an amazing night
So you could get stuck in my head
Forever

After that day we never spoke again
Because you didn’t love me
You just wanted to be loved
And walked away
And left me here broken.
